See you on Sunday!

We are looking forward to our end of year working bee and party on Sunday!

Work on site will begin at 9am with a Lunch set for approx 12.30pm. All are welcome, come whenever suits you. Santa is visiting too!

As a reminder please bring the following:

  • newspapers and/or cardboard (newspaper is good, cardboard is better! so raid any cardboard bins you can! Crinis Bros Tarrawanna and Liqourland Balgownie are both happy for us to empty their bins)
  • BYO drinks (water and something for the party + cups)
  • Suncream and hat
  • Something sweet to share after lunch if you like

We plan to begin the compost area at this working bee, so take some time to look at our new Composting page here to get familiar with the very simple process we will follow. We will need to form a volunteer compost crew so fill in the contact form on the page if you are interested or talk to us on site.

See you on Sunday!

  3. Hi Rebecca, I can’t make this Sunday but I am happy to help with developing the actual compost during the week, if any other vollies are available and want to learn how and if we have the raw materials.

    Cheers

    1. Hi Malcolm, thanks for your interest in composting, it would be great to have you on our compost crew as I hear you are a keen composter! We have plenty of paper, dried leaves and sawdust coming our way on Sunday to begin the “brown” compost bay, and I’m sure after a few local lawn mowing sessions we will quickly fill the “green” bay also. Needless to say, the food scraps being added to the mixed compost bins, will come in thick and fast. I always have more than enough for my own compost, so my overflow will go next door! So yes, we should have plenty of raw materials within a few weeks. We will get volunteer numbers on Sunday and get back to you.
